Research & Development

The company performs a wide variety of scientific researches both individually and in cooperation with external teams working on Bulgarian and European scientific projects related to the development of technologies, prototypes, etc. intended for new renewable energy sources, expanding the feedstock potential for the production of bio-fuels, optimization of the chemical processes for treatment and production of energy. The team which is working on the innovative projects consists of professionals with proven qualities. The division leaders are certified specialists with qualification covering the requirements of European standards.

Development activity is directed to the following fields:                                     

• Biotechnologies – development of alternative methods for obtaining oils for the production of second generation bio-fuels with the use of microorganisms, optimizing the production processes of biogas and the development of substrate combinations;
• Chemical technologies – fast and slow pyrolysis of biomass with a following synthesis of liquid and gas fuels, new methods of refining oils, productionof biodiesel, processing of fatty acids and raw glycerine;
• Processes and apparatuses – mixers, reactors, apparatuses for mass and heat exchange;
