Reactors

The Chemical reactor - this is an apparatus, where a basic chemical process is performed in order to achieve a certain chemical agent within the limits of a single production process.

The following requirements must be met by the reactors: the reactors should have the required reaction capacity, be capable to ensure the optimal time for  presence of the reacting substances in the reaction zone in order to achieve the required degree of transformation, to create the best contact between the reacting substances, to ensure the appropriate temperature setting for the process, mechanical strength of the unit and reliable operation, convenient maintenance, repair and control of the processes.

The chemical reactors are classified by several features: Interrupted or uninterrupted working cycle, type of the structure, working conditions, phase state of the reagents, temperature, pressure.
